And just a note regarding the outstanding service performed by out
late Rotarian, Maurice Metzger, Paul Harris Fellow and artist. Maurice
could be counted on to build and paint and signs we should need, including
our parade floats, "Welcome to Union County" sign, and he
constructed the wood choo choo train which won us the $500 prize at
a district conference. He often donated his original paintings (of
the out of doors) for our club to either raffle or auction and he
represented the Anna Jonesboro Rotary Club at the World Rotary Club
Art Exhibit, with a display of 6 or his paintings.
